About

The Prince Edward County Art Dealers Association (PECADA) is a not-for-profit organization.

The association represents the interests of commercial art galleries in PEC, whose members exhibit Canadian and International artists and deal in artworks of all periods and media.

Our gallerists work towards elevating emerging artists while also supporting mid and senior career artists. When possible, they also promote the sale and promotion of historical works.

PECADA ensures that its’ member galleries maintain the highest standards of ethical practice within the profession.

The role of PECADA is to promote and support the sale of visual arts in PEC and the Canadian art market as a whole.

PECADA supports the visual arts through advocacy and public outreach, undertaking initiatives aimed at building both a national and international profile for commercial art galleries located in Prince Edward County.

As a part of the PEC arts community, PECADA members connect and engage with other art dealers through PECADA hosted meetings, networking events and local initiatives.

We also support a small number of important civic fundraising efforts and this year we have selected the Prince Edward Memorial Hospital Foundations Back the Build campaign and The Picton Public Library's Time to Renew campaign. We are very proud to have raised over $23,000 for the Picton Public Library, and over $118,000 for the Prince Edward Memorial Hospital Foundation. Thank you to all the artists, collectors and patrons that helped us realize this support for these important community resources!
